Patricia (Patti) Schabinger, a Licensed Learning Specialist, educator, and Independent Educational Consultant has over thirty years of experience teaching students of all ages from elementary through adult. Patti helps individuals enhance executive functions, improve academics, and master test-taking skills to foster the love of learning.
Patti and her husband, Dr. Paul Schabinger, assist individuals with core courses, fill in knowledge gaps,
provide study skills, and teach strategic problem solving for ACT and SAT standardized tests. Dr. Schabinger, a retired Radiation Oncologist, expertly explains math and science concepts. Paul uses many handouts and reference sheets he has created to break down steps and promote understanding. Patti focuses on English, reading, and writing instruction to boost scores, grades, and knowledge.
As a college consultant, Patti expertly guides students through the college application process including the college search, essays, applications, scholarships, and interviews to find the best fit for the individual. Setting timelines, starting early, and creating schedules relieves stress and anxiety for the whole family. Investing in a college education is one of the most important financial decisions a family may make besides buying a home.
As a former classroom teacher and currently as a Learning Disabilities specialist and college consultant, Patti Schabinger has extensive experience and training with an emphasis in gifted, learning differences, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and executive skill deficits. Professional membership in regional, state, and national educational consulting organizations provides ethical and knowledgeable foundations to guide families. I personally work with each student throughout the process to share my expertise and individually assist students in an encouraging and calm environment. I love helping young adults find their direction and a best fit college!
